Meet the chazzan
HAZAN MAIR ROSH

Mair Rosh has served as the Hazan of the Maghain Aboth Synagogue since 1999. Born in Beer Sheva, Israel , he served in the Israeli Airforce, graduating from the Israeli Air Force Technology School.

Prior to joining the Singapore community, Mair Rosh served in Sydney , Australia at Bet Yosef (the Caro Synagogue) and the Rambam Sephardi Congregation.

Hazan Rosh is involved in all facets of the synagogue. He conducts daily, Shabbat and Festival services. He is involved with Jewish Education in the community.

Mair Rosh supervises many daily matters of the synagogue including managing the Kosher Shop, the Bakery, the Catering Services, Abdulla Shooker, and security matters at Maghain Aboth Synagogue. He also serves as a member of the Inter-Religious Organisation of Singapore. Recently, Hazan Rosh published Israel: Unity in Diversity (2003) for Times Books International.
